Golden Gate School (GGS) Makassar’s talented dance team, “The Aurums,” has once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the city level.
The Aurums successfully won 1st Place at the “Dance Competition Entrance 4.0” organized by Universitas Ciputra (UC) Makassar, held at the Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
This remarkable achievement marks another milestone for the team, as The Aurums successfully defended the championship title they previously won in the same competition in 2025. With this victory, the dance team of Golden Gate School has officially become a two-time consecutive champion at the prestigious event.
The Aurums team consists of seven Golden Gate School students: Joceline Thiotrisno, Keiko Queen Malika Kompoi, Audrey Nimmala Dharmadjie, Tania, Lydia Kusuma The, Kaylin Kanaka Gotama, and Eimery Devina Patondok. Their performance was also supported by Edric Wijaya Makkawaru as a guest dancer and guided by their coach, Ananda Saraswati.
Competing against 14 dance teams from various age categories, The Aurums performed as the eighth contestant. Their energetic performance, combined with a strong storyline, synchronized choreography, and expressive stage presence, successfully captivated both the audience and judges.
The atmosphere became even more exciting as the audience continuously cheered for “The Aurums” before the winner announcement. Supporters confidently chanted the team’s name, believing they would once again claim the championship title.
The venue erupted with excitement and applause when “The Aurums” was officially announced as the 1st Place winner. The emotional moment reflected the team’s hard work and dedication after consistently practicing for nearly two months.
The members of The Aurums expressed their gratitude and happiness for the achievement, while also thanking the Golden Gate School community, supporters, and fans for their continuous encouragement.
This latest victory further adds to The Aurums’ impressive list of achievements since the team was established in 2023.

The Aurums was formed in late 2023, starting from four students — Joceline, Keiko, Audrey, and Tania — who shared a passion and talent for dance.
With the approval and support of the school principal, The Aurums was officially established as the dance team of Golden Gate School Makassar to participate in various dance competitions.
The name “The Aurums” was inspired by the Latin word for gold in the periodic table of elements. The name represents Golden Gate School’s identity and symbolizes the team’s aspiration to continuously achieve gold-level success and championship titles in every competition they join.
The Aurums’ continued success reflects Golden Gate School Makassar’s strong commitment to supporting students in developing their talents and achievements in both academic and non-academic fields.
